The Change

The menopause had a profound effect on my life, prompting an unexpected career change from health and social care to art.

During this period, I created a body of work exploring the menopause as a way to document the experience and mark its transformative significance.

Named after the Honesty plant,(Lunaria annua), this piece of work is constructed from used HRT patches.

Historically used in traditional herbal medicine, Lunaria holds a place in witchcraft and folklore as a protective charm believed to ward off monsters and unwanted spirits. a paragraph.

Exhibited in Edinburgh the title Relief speaks for itself.

The Menopause Quilt brings together textiles rich with personal memory.

Each swatch of fabric carries connection to a person or place, weaving together a tangible map of my journey through the "menopause years."
